What can be done against poaching in Africa?

We’re seeing news headlines of people paying ludicrous amounts of money just to hunt animals like rhinos, lions, and giraffes. There is also an ongoing problem with black market trading of goods like ivory and other animal parts being used for Eastern medicine. According to Dr. Margaret L. Salmon, M.D., our inability to stop poachers in the past has created a state of emergency in relation to maintaining wildlife population. People may not think that they can contribute much to deter poaching in Africa, but there are many small things we can do. The most actionable way to help wildlife in Africa is through donations.
